Puduvai - Made the trip in Sep 2009
Should say the trip was err... slightly disappointing. Well, strictly not the trip per se, but the town.
And largely my fault! Because for some reason I had it conjured up like this great European (or rather specifically French) town - all impeccably clean streets, wide and well laid roads, town full of quaint buildings, monuments and stuff - but I thought it did turn out to be just like any other town in India!
Did visit the customary spots - Auroville, Aurobindo Ashram, French Colony, bunch of churches, Vinayaka Temple et al. And what you see here is the spotless French Colony row houses which does not extend beyond a street or two, I' say.
